Gulf Hotels Group Joins Global Movement for Earth Hour 2025

Manama, Bahrain – March 23, 2025 – Gulf Hotels Group participated in Earth Hour 2025 on Saturday, March 22, turning off non-essential lights across all its properties to support global climate action. The initiative, observed at 8:30 PM local time, aligned with Bahrain’s sustainability efforts and the worldwide call for energy conservation.


Gulf Hotels Group has long been committed to integrating environmental sustainability and energy conservation into its hotel operations. By extending Earth Hour participation across its hotels, resorts and residences, the group reinforced its dedication to to join the nation’s efforts to promote sustainable development and responsible energy, in line with Bahrain’s Net Zero 2060 pledge and ongoing efforts by the Supreme Council for Environment and the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA).

The group encouraged its guests and employees to take part in this global initiative by switching off lights and engaging in eco-friendly activities, reinforcing the importance of energy conservation and environmental impact. Through continued sustainability efforts, Gulf Hotels Group remains committed to supporting Bahrain’s green initiatives and fostering environmental awareness in the hospitality sector.


Originally launched by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in 2007, Earth Hour has grown into one of the largest environmental movements, encouraging individuals, businesses, and governments to take tangible steps toward reducing energy consumption and environmental impact.
